The story of Hitch Burger started years ago when Ana Karina Suchánek (Vazquez) earned a business degree from the Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara in Mexico and moved to Southern California to learn conversational English and further her career. She applied for what she assumed would be short-term work running the cash register at a local diner, but quickly realized that the restaurant business is where her true passion resided. She rose through the ranks, and before she knew it, she was in love with the restaurant business.
Over the next few years, Karina and her husband, Chris, spent much of their free time traveling and savoring local cuisines. To their surprise, they discovered that the most satisfying restaurants are not always the fanciest or the most glamorous; that often, the fast casual places provide the most memorable dining experiences.
Their shared passion for food and travel, combined with Karina’s deep affection for the restaurant trade, ultimately led them to start The Hitch Burger Grill. From the beginning, the goal was simple: Create a family-friendly dining experience with a heavy emphasis on quality ingredients, including fresh produce. Just good food in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
Hitch Burger continues to embody that same passion for a delicious yet relaxed dining experience, showcasing a diverse menu of burgers, salads, wraps, and all-day breakfast items. It is a place to gather with family and loved ones, savor old favorite menu items, or try something exciting and new.
Driven by their passion for community, the founders have ensured that a portion of their proceeds goes back into local neighborhoods. Giving back is an important part of the Hitch experience, providing Southern California diners still another reason to feel good about grabbing a bite out.
